Data We Collect

  • Email address and account information (via Supabase Auth)
  • URLs and niches you submit for auditing
  • Usage data and audit history
  • Payment details (processed by Stripe — not stored by us)

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the AlpineRank service
  • To send transactional emails (welcome, audit notifications)
  • To analyze usage patterns (PostHog analytics, anonymized)
  • To produce anonymised category benchmarks (see below)

Category Benchmarks

We use aggregated, anonymised audit scores to show how a page compares with other sites audited in the same category. Only the aggregate is ever shown — a median and a quartile — and never an individual site, URL, score or account.

A benchmark appears only once at least 20 different accounts have audited sites in that category, and each site counts once regardless of how often it has been audited. Below that threshold no benchmark is shown at all. Figures describe sites audited with AlpineRank, not an industry as a whole.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. After cancellation or account deletion, your data is removed within 30 days.
